Hello Andrew,
The rear window circuit begins at the top of the "B" Posts for the
positive connection and ground. That male post is not just for
alignment of the hard top.The Insulated connector "post" or what the
parts manual calls an "interrupter" PN 152391 has a insulated piece in
the middle of it that connects to the electrical connection in the
female socket at the top of the "B" post. From the Male post are the
wires under the headliner to the rear screen heater element.
Most Stags I have seen have the female socket PN 152392 broken, hence
the electrical connection can not be met.
If the female socket is bad, they can be obtained from Rimmers or
Barratts for about 5 pound sterling each.
