i'm worried about the amount of traffic this is contributing to the digest,
so no more followups unless something important happens.
RD's hosting provider has given them a stiff lecture, and indicated that if
they don't repent of their spamming ways they face termination and the hunt
for a new ISP. the hosting provider is requiring RD to remove any scraped
addresses from their mailing list.
so if your address was scraped, and you get hit again, complain to
[email protected]
and i did get BCC'd on a few of the complaints, and the ones i've seen hit
the right note, calm, polite and professional. good job, guys. i know how
tempting it is to froth at the mouth when complaining about spam, but it
rarely gets the desired result.
cheers,
richard
