<WTB> sub $9k BMW of some sort.

Please excuse the cross-posting.
I'm posting this for a friend who will soon (as in next week or so) be
looking for a car. He doesn't have too many specifics as yet.
He's looking for a 3 or 5 series 1990 and up (E30, E34, E36, E39),
preferably mid 90's, must be under $9k. Automatic is best in this case,
I think, but I'm sure 5 speeds will be considered. Best if in the
midwest. No mechanic's specials - prospective cars must need little or
no repair.
