I have solid rubber offset bushings (OE 89+ E30 ///M3) with steel control arms, 
Eibach springs, and Koni shocks on my 87 E30 325iS.  I've used them for three 
years of street, driving schools, open track days, and occasional autocrosses, 
with no sign of any problems.  Not sure what would be the benefit of switching 
to polyurethane next time around.
