<E28> Coil recommendations if it is the coil malfunctioning..

Hi All,

Re: 85 535i hesitiation problem.
If in fact my coil is gone, then can I install one that is aftermarket?  As
in an MSD coil?  or do I have to get a BMW factory coil?  Also, can I
install an MSD 6A box at a later point to heat the spark up a bit without
causing problems?
