Airbag Question

Last weekend I put an item that was a little too big on the front passenger 
floor of my daughter's 1998 323ic.  When I shut the door it must have hit the 
side airbag.  Now the airbag warning idicator is on.

Any idea how bad BWM is going to nick me if I take it in for repair?
