You might be right, and you might be ahead of me... that is until we
get to this little thing called a TURN. Grab a selection of modern
sport sedans and lets take them out to the track against my e30.
Most of the time it will hold it's own or better against cars 10
years newer. Oh, and it's not denial, it's fact, seeing as I've
spent enough days on the track running against them to know. (this
is not to say I'm going to outrun a Z06 or other all-out sports cars
with a similarly experienced driver, though it is fun to lap the
posers in such cars.)
Tell me, for all the brandishing you did to your car to make it look
faster, and for the "BMWracing" email address, exactly how much
experience do you have on-track?
Given the balance of your comments, it sounds like you've made the
right decision. Join the rest of the soccer moms (though, if you
actually tow something now and then, you get a reprieve from that
title). Leave the actual driving to the enthusiasts.
