Short answers....

1. It requires a lift. Only ~3 qts gets changed.
2. Unfriendly procedure, easy to underfill......
if the trans isn't warmed up.
3. Not sure if all this work will do you any good.
These GM units seem to break ~125-150k miles anyway.
The electronic controls also wear/break, fluid changing does not help or
hurt.
There is alot happening in these Adaptive ECU controlled 4 speed w/lock
up auto transmissions.
I tend to think just replace it when it breaks.........is the best
method.
4.  Yes, it's a Multi Vehicle Dexron 3........but it might be synthetic
for the Lifetime fill BMW.
