Brake Circuit Failure

Hi - Got a 94 E36 and the computer intermittently pops up 'Brake circuit
failure'. Upon checking, all looks good and than few hours again - boom
message.
I have had 'brake light failure' and replaced the bulbs and cleaned off the
tips few months back.

Any help would be helpful.
