E36 M3 Tach/Temp Gauge malfunction

Hi All, 

My 95 M3 US Spec. is having a sporadic problem wherein the tachometer
and the temperature gauge sometimes don't work. Both needles don't move
from their rest positions whe the car is started. Sometimes turning off
the ignition and re-starting the car cures the problem, other times not.
The left side of the instrument panel works as it should. Any BTDT for
this issue?
