Re: <E36> Rotors and Pads??

Ron,

I've been using Hawk HPS pads on my E34 525iT, and drive it almost 100 miles
per day, and the dust builds up very slowly. With the factory pads, the
wheels were dirty by the end of one day.

Prior to the Hawk HPS pads, I tried a set of PBR Deluxe pads. They produce
a light colored dust that is only visible after hundreds of miles of use.
The problem is that their performance degrades over time, so I replaced them
when there was still over 50% left.

I just put a set of Hawk HPS pads on my E36 M3, for street use. They're
great pads, and the price is right. I bought mine from Tire Rack, but
BimmerWorld also sells them.

Regarding rotors, you can save money by using Brembo rotors. I've also used
Zimmermann rotors, from BimmerWorld:

Hope this helps,
