6-series buying info/advice/tips

Hi everyone,
I looked at three of 6's yesterday;  2 '86's , 1 '87. one '86 had an "M"
badge.All three were in pretty good shape +/-.
Any advice/tips/info/links would be appreciated.
A couple of questions:
One of them had some suspension groaning from the left front, I think,; is
there any data on common 6-series-specific causes of this?Another had the left rear power window would not work: is this a major
headache to fix if it's a dead window motor?
