Octoberfest tires by Ryan

Of course the answer is negative on two days of track time on a plugged tire.

I have the Kumho 712's on my Miata --- very soft sidewall -- but cheap ---
getting mediocre mileage but quiet ride -- were good in wet when new. I would
not call them a performance tire though.

I have new Falken SST115's on my on my E46 328i -- jury is still out -- but
reasonable price for my 225/45-17 sport package size. They also seem guiet and
soft when compared to Contineltal Conti sport or the last tire I had
Bridgestone RE-730's --- which were expensive and didn't last more than 20,000
highway miles.

I have heard a few of the track day BMW people are running the Falken Azena's
(sp)
as a cheap but good traction track day tire -- but I am sure they wouldn't
last on the street.
(these bring an alternative to Kuhmo V700 as a sticky track tire)

Since we have 95,000 miles on a 99 328i -- we are going through a few tires as
you can see.

good luck
