<E36> Tires

Hello group,
I am looking for new tires for my car ('94, 318i). The current tires are
Pirelli and got worn out in 30k miles but NTB won't honor the 50k mile
warranty because they were installed by the previous owner!
I am looking for something that is not too expensive, has good life, low
road noise, low vibrations at highway speeds and good hold for wet driving
conditions. NTB folks said that my car absolutely needs H rated tires.
Can anyone in the group let me know if it is really necessary to put in 'H'
rated tires or can I also put 'T' rated tires which are not so expensive
given that I don't race the car and am not looking to make any tight
corners. I have looked at Bridgestone, Dunlop, Goodyear as possible
options.
I live in Atlanta area, so any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your input.
