<E28> car stalling out on start

Hello All,

So now that the key issue is solved I have to tackle the stalling problem

The car starts but needs a bit of gas to get going and as soon as you let
off the gas it stalls out.  Drives fine till you come to a stop and then it
stalls out.

Any suggestions as to what it may be?

I am thinking that it may be an electrical issue since it happened while I
was pokeing around fixing the key thing.

Someone recommended that it may be the Idle air stabilizer valve.  I called
a wrench I take the car to for certain things that I dont have the tools
for, and he said it might be a "stay idle switch" or another relay.  I
checked the fuse panel while fixing the other issue and didnt notice
anything out of the ordinary.
