Brake rotors and pads/'89 535i

I need to replace my brake pads and I need to know what the minimum
thickness is for rotors for my car.  I misplaced my owners manual.  I'm
ordering my parts from ips-parts.com and I want to get the rotors also if I
need them.  Also, does anyone have any experience with slotted front rotors
on this car?  Would I have a problem later on if I have slotted rotors in
front and solid in the rear?  Thanks in advance.
