I had an electric pump in my car, and I found it to be slow. My bicycle 
pump is much more effective. In fact, I find it much more convenient to go 
around my cars with the bike pump and fill the tires than to drive to the 
gas station; I also get better control of the temperature.

So you might want to consider a large diameter (and perhaps double acting) 
mountain bike pump.
