Unsupportive driver's seat in 95 M3

The back of the driver's seat of my 95 M3 isn't very supportive on the left
side. If I push back into the seat, it twists slightly. When I talked to the
dealership, they told me they think it's a broken rail, but they also want
close to $900 - most of which is labor.
I checked my Bentley manual, but besides showing that the seats do indeed
come apart it wasn't very helpful in taking them apart. I took the seat out
of the car and found lots of spare change and other odds & ends under the
seat, but I'm not sure how to get the back apart.
Can anyone point me to some info on at least getting the seat apart so I can
figure out what's happened? Or if this is something I'm better off taking to
the dealership.
Thanks,
Pete
