canvas cleaner

Good People:
I have a Z3 with a black canvas top.  Any suggestions on proper cleaning and
care?  Checked the sites I could find and while they say much that's useful
about the paint coat, the canvas gets little attention.  I've tried the
Porsche stuff, but I have a bird bomb spot that's resisting my valiant
efforts.  FYI, usually rinse the BB's off as I see them, using bottled
water, which I keep in the trunk.  TIA.
