the new 7 design - opinions?

I was at the dealer (of for joy) a few weeks ago and as I waited,
I couldn't help but look at the new brochure for the 2002 7 series.
I am the only one who doesn't like the new design direction BMW
has gone in overall?  The older cars, esp. in the 3 and 7 series, look
more aggressive to me.

On a related note:  if you were going to buy a used 7 series, which
model/year would it be?  Let's say for $18K or less....
