Be warned, I am getting bombarded with a lot of email viruses lately.
They all seem to be of the HTML script variety. The subject line says
"a special new web site" or in one instance is totally blank. One of
them came from a .ru domain which tells you the Russians are doing more
than just fixing figure skating events. If you open these message, not
even run an attachment, just open it, you will trigger the script file.
In Outlook, you can disable scripting. In Outlook Express, I think you
can do the same or I believe in the Control Panel under Internet
settings, you can disable them.
Also, if you don't do so already, simply delete any unrecognisable
message from an unknown sender. Don't take a chance.
This public service announcement is now concluded, we return you to your
regular programming.
