Re: Shark Injector Question

First off, I don't have an aftermarket 'chip' or software upgrade, but have
looked into it a bit. There are some explanations for what you have noted,
I'll take a crack at them:

Actually, this isn't a chip upgrade/change, but you are actually
reprogramming the code without removing the ECU (with the shark injector).
On any BMW '96 and up (ie OBD II) any upgrade will be removing the ECU for
reprogramming, or in place with the Shark Injector.

I would guess so, but don't have any data to back it up.

They are quoting two different numbers. One is the new peak power and
torque. The other is the max difference between new and original power and
torque. This is usually at a different RPM than where peak values occur.
If you can get curves showing original and new values, this will make sense.

I've heard nothing but good about this upgrade. I haven't as I'm putting my
upgrade $ into suspension.
