I'm pleased to say I paid twice as much for M3 bushings. It is difficult to
relate my impressions so far as I have not yet had a proper alignment done. The
bushings are also reported to increase positive camber, which, on my stock
suspension doesn't help cornering ability either. I'll be making some suspension
changes in the spring or summer, however, which should combine with this to get
the 1.5-2 degree negative camber I'm hoping for (I take the twisty way to work).
The steering does feel firmer, but less "quick" than I had previously
experienced. Keep in mind, however, that I'm going from a slightly damaged
control arm which tightened my wheelbase and reduced castor, the latter of which
the M3 bushings specifically increase.

I'll post more of my impressions after I get a machine alignment (tomorrow).
