Car Covers

I've used car covers religiously for 21 years. My cars are parked indoors at
night, so I don't need one of the Evolution varieties. Poly-cotton lasts the
longest, is the lightest and easiest to roll up. 100% cotton is too heavy and
doesn't last very long. Kimberly-Clark's Evolution is the one to use if you
park outside at night or in frequent fog/moisture during the day. With
covers, wax jobs last indefinitely, nothing fades, dashboards and rubber
strip/moldings last forever. Even an "anal" person like myself can wait two
weeks between car washes. It takes 30 seconds to put it on or take it off.
If you drive a convertible, put the cover on with the top down. It's much
less wear and tear on the top, and keeps the interior cleaner while parked.

Cover Craft is the manufacturer for most of the companies you see marketing
covers. They even ended up manufacturing the covers for the old MG Mitten
Accessory store in Pasadena, CA, the original manufacturer of car covers from
the '50s.
