Did you really expect us to decide this for you?  Tsk tsk... we'll leave the
hard decisions for you.  If I were you, I'd rustle up the wife and head on
down to the BMW store and drive them both!  How could you possible know till
you drive that 740i sport.  Good luck finding a used 740i sport to drive.
If you're still set on that 6 speed, it's a done deal - the 540i.  If you
really want something ultra awesome, more "horny looking" (heh - I'm using
your terms here!), more exclusive, and better situated in the rear room dept
(romance is wayyy easier in the back seat of a 7) - definitely go for that
740i sport with the Nav system.  IMHO, this car beats the 540i hands down.
But, after driving it, you might find it to be too big, too much, too
M-Parallel spokish.  When I first showed one to a good friend who was
driving an older 740i at the time, he took a look at it and said it's too
"urban" looking with those big 18" M Parallel spoke wheels!

Either car you'll be happy with.  The wheels on the newest 540i 6 speed, the
10 spokers (I think that's the right amount of spokes) are sooooo hot, I
cream every time I see one.  I especially like 540i's in maroon or silver
with the killer 10 spoke sport wheels.  Ohhhh lala.
