The question of chromed wheels is mainly one of fashion. It's
highly dependent on the local culture, and few of us on this
list are qualified to advise someone in your location. In
California, for example, flashy chrome wheels are highly prized
in the Los Angeles area, but laughed at in San Francisco.

If you plate your E30 wheels, use extra care choosing a plater,
as alloys don't take well to a sloppy plating process.
