RE: <E28> Intermittant Brake Warning Light

I know this sounds simple...but have you checked that your parking brake
lever is fully retracted?

Subject: <E28> Intermittant Brake Warning Light

Hello Digesters,

The "Brake" (not the "Brake Lining") light on my '86 535i is intermittantly
coming on. This started a couple weeks ago and is becoming more frequent.
It seems to be somewhat related to low (like when you let off the gas with
the AC on and RPM's drop lower than the normal idle momentarily) or high
(>3000) engine rpm's.

I replaced the "Brake Bomb" 9 months ago and the brakes have been working
fine since then. Other than the warning light, they seem to be working
fine.

Has anyone else out there had this problem or have any ideas what the
problem might be? Maybe a brake pressure regulator or pressure sensor going
bad?

Thanks in Advance,

Carl Runion
