Removing crankshaft hub

I need assistance in removing the crankshaft hub in order to replace the
lower timing chain cover gasket on a 92 525i M50.
The Bentley manual is not very clear, just says to lock the crankshaft in
TDC by inserting a special tool through bellhousing and drive plate. Then
to "Remove the crankshaft hub bolt and washer and remove the hub from the
crankshaft".
How do I remove the hub?
Is it pressed on requiring a pulley puller or is it threaded?
Looks like the bolt is 22mm, can anyone confirm?
I've removed the valve cover and looking at the 2 Torx E8 bolts from above,
the manual says there are three?
Any other tricks involved with removing the lower timing chain cover?
Appreciate any assistance.
Thanks
Doug Hill
