re sunroof removal

Slide the roof back about 4 inches.  Pull loose all of the clips (6-8)
attaching the headliner piece to the roof at the front.  Close the roof (it
won't break).  Then vent it.  Disconnect snap in pieces at the back.  Slide
out through vent.

I have done this a few times.  Its the easies.  If you need them, I have
COMPLETE sunroof install instructions that I wrote awhile back and would be

Subject: Sunroof Removal

HI,Could someone please enlighten me on how to get the headliner piece to
come off my sunroof?  I have an '86 735i, and need to reattach the
headliner for the rest of the car which is convieniently located
underneath the sunroof.  It has some clips up there that I detached, and
it would not slide back into the cavity in the roof.  Im following
direntcions from the haynes manual...   Thanks,Kevin
