There are a handful of us on the 7 series digest who own these vehicles. These 
are great vehicles. FYI, there were only 275 5 speed 735i's imported in 1988 
which makes them rather rare. If the one you are looking at is in decent shape 
I say go for it. As an aside I was just offered $6400 for mine as a trade on a 
vehicle selling for $18,995. Good luck.
