I think you should have saved yourself the buck 'n' a quarter and given that
ol' boat to me!!  ;-)

Seriously (I know, it's rare - don't get used to it), there are some things
I trust to the spotty oiks at generic "parts" joints like Batteries+ and
there are some things that I want done right.  Yeah, they could have slapped
a battery in there and most likely got it to work.  But would it have been
secured properly?  Would the vent hose been hooked up right?  How long would
they have dicked around under the hood before giving up and told you that
someone had already STOLEN your battery?!!!  Frankly, it cost a few more
bucks to have it done right, but in the grand scheme of things, you KNOW it
was done right.  And isn't that worth a few extra dollars?

No, I think you went to the right place and had the right thing done.  No
hosing was done.
