You might also check the _connections_ to 
the fuel rail, specifically the ones to and from
the coldstart valve.

On mine, the original hose had been replaced by
a small piece of hose the bent around--no big
deal, apparently.  But the shape of the hose
put pressure ont he cold-start valve, eventually
causing it to leak--but only when starting up.
Once the motor got warm, it expand enough to
seal the leak.
