E39 horn blows by itself

My 11-month-old 2000 528i developed its first glitch today. It started
honking its own horn. How embarassing. It's intermittent, seems to occur
mostly on left turns.

I know it's under warranty and I can take it in to the dealer, but if
it's an easy fix, I'd just as soon do it myself. Any ideas?
