E36 -94' 318i Reverse lights dont work

I have a 318I 1994 manual and the reverse lights stopped working. The light
bulbs check out fine and I am suspecting the 
reverse switch is worn. Can anyone tell me where this is located  in the car
and if this is a major hassle to replace?
