turbocharging vs supercharging

First, a disclaimer: I really don't know squat about anything, but that doesn't stop
the rest of the morons on this digest from posting their opinions, so I figure, what
the hell.....
As for which is harder on your engine, a turbocharger or supercharger, I really think
it depends on how you drive your car. You can blow up a naturally aspirated motor if
you do something boneheaded like miss a shift. (Which I have almost done several
times, but caught myself at the last moment)
As for daily driving, I can only speak for the turbo, which I have had on my M3 for
about 2 weeks now. The car seems to run smoother in normal driving, and it shifts
easier. The reason I think it shifts easier, is that it seems like the rpms don't
drop as much between gears. Also, the turbo starts to kick in between 1500 and 2000
rpm, which makes town driving a lot more fun. (But could also lead to a few more
speeding tickets)
