Re E-34 Heated Seats

John -

In a dark and usually not-mentioned past, I owned a 1983 Camry. I wanted=

to install a ham radio in it and considered buying a heated seat switch t=
o
provide power. With wiring, it provided plug-in access to the custom plu=
g
in the foot-well and provided a clean installation on the dash. What I
discovered was that Toyota installed the seat heaters in all seats. If t=
he
option was ordered, they also installed the switch and wiring to control
same. To prevent end runs, Toyota charged the full heated seat option
price for the switch! I don't know, but would guess that BMW is doing th=
e
same thing. Something to do with manufacturing economics.

Subject: heated seats on a 95 E34-could it be that easy?

OK, while checking out the inside rear of my front seats, I noticed an
electric plug, which has nothing plugged into it . . .
I was wondering if heated seats are a standard thing built into a 95 525,=

and if so does only a switch and a plug need to be wired from the fuse bo=
x
to make them work?
