I would guess that you have a break in a wire to or from the driver's door
lock.

My car behaved in a similar manner and it turned out it was a break in the
wire that sent the trunk lock position sensor signal to the central lock
controller.  Because the system couldn't detect the locking of the trunk,
when the remote switch was used, it would immediately unlock all the doors.
I'm guessing, but it seems that the computer that controls locking of the
doors and trunk keeps track of what's happening when things are locked and
unlocked.  If it gets a signal that some component didn't respond the way it
should the computer will respond in some failsafe or strange manner.

For reference, the break in my wire was at the point at the hinge for the
trunk lid where the wire bends back and forth when the trunk is opened and
closed.  Might be worth checking as part of routine maintenance.
