<2002> bleached out seats and carpet

Dear '02-enthusiasts,

most of us have faced the problem (or are still facing it) that seats and 
carpets are bleached out by sun and time. This is especially visible if you 
have blue carpets and seats (as i have). The vinyl of the seats is still 
dark blue whereas the cloth now has a very light blue color.

My questions: has anyone tried to refresh the colors by whatsoever means ? 
How were the results ? Are new seat covers available ? (They are not in 
Germany, at least not for the blue cloth/vinyl interior that i have).

Any ideas are welcome,
