<E30> impending purchase
A friend and I looked at an '87 325is at lunch today and I thought I'd solicit the collective wisdom....
Bronzit 325is
53,000 miles one owner (seen at dealer)
automatic
very clean with all records, serviced exclusivly at this dealer
timing belt (cam belt, as the sticker said) replaced at time of trade
no rattles, noises, shakes
slight occasional front shimmy on hard braking
passenger seat loose (only fault I noticed!)
no rust anywhere, looked under carpet in trunk , shock towers, and passenger compartment
asking $9995 - dealer started at $9,500
Assuming the car checked out at the usual independant mechanic, can you all tell me how you feel about the pricing? I checked on Bloomberg an it seemed right in line - $7,500 to ~$10,500 - and will look at Edmunds sight tonight.
If my friend doesn't get it, I may consider it myself...
