I couldn't resist commenting on Jay's post because the menthod in which =
transactions takes place on this list tends to bother me. Most individua=
ls =
require that you mail them payment for parts before the will mail the par=
ts to =
you. IMO, this indicates a lack of trust on their part and simultaneousl=
y =
they are requiring that you trust them. You can only hope that you will =
indeed receive the part(s) and that the condition was fairly represented.=
I =
have pleasant and unpleasant experiences when purchasing parts from other=
list =
members and am not attempting to attack anyone. However, I think a fair =
approach to take is this: =
1) buyer and seller discuss the parts of interest and settles on a price=
2) buyer represents parts being sold honestly
3) buyer agree to ship parts by a specified date and seller agrees to se=
nd =
check/MO =
by a specified date
4) buyer communicates receipt of parts and should be satisfied if their =
condition was
honestly conveyed and seller communicates receipt of payment.
This approach should indicate a sense of trust between both parties.
