Scott,
The identification tag on the rear diff is attached to one of the bolts
holding the cover on. The numbers designate ratio or the number of teeth on
the ring and pinion. Original diff have numbers like "S 3.45 002" which
identify the ratio, 3.45. Note the "S", this identifies as a LSD. Now on
replacement diffs the numbering is different, like "11 38 A 405 S" The
highlights the number of teeth of the ring and pinion so the ratio is
11/38. Note the suffix letter "S" also designates LSD.
BTW, I would be interested in your old 3.25 LSD. Where are you located?
