Just two quick questions:
1. To resume all the unleaded/leaded petrol questions, can anyone tell me which
the BEST petrol to use in 1989 325i without a catalyzer??
2. Looked over a 1988 M3 (black) at a second hand dealer yesterday. Car looked
pretty new (almost identical to my 325i except for distinguishing M3 characteri
stics ...) when i looked inside the cockpit i saw the clock with 193000 km ..
i said wow.. and the dealer told me i knew little about BMWs let alone M3s ...
(probably the same dealer that would say that 270 000 km is too much on my 325i
!)
To cut a long story short, he told me that the 88 M3 has a 215 Cv motor that ha
s a life expectancy of 800 000 km
I always thought that a 6 cylinder 2500cc (325i) with 171cv would last longer t
han a 4 cylinder 2300cc (M3) with 215Cv
My question: Does this dealer know what he's talking about?
