I hope that Mr. Sidney will stop advertising for "Dealer Marketing" on this
digest. Do people want advertisements on this digest? I think they suck...

I agree with Jared, "Advertising on the digest sucks." But I do
distinquish "avertising" from limited offers made for sale
of goods or services that are very BMW specific. For example,
someone selling cheap sunglasses or, worse, a paramid marketing
sceme, should not be allowed on the Digest.
Offers to sell a BMW product, for example the recent offer to sell
carbon fiber interior trim, should be allowed, even encouraged. We
should *encourage* BMW vendors to communicate with us, so we know
what is out there to buy for our cars. Half the fun of owning a cool
car is adding personal touches to it. Whether it is tune up
services, chips, trim pieces, tires or brake pads, it should be ok to
place posts on the Digest. I would even think that "reasonably well
spaced" repeats of postings should be ok. It is not hard to see when
"information dissemination" becauses blatant commercialism.
