Usually I'm posting about E34's but this is for a friends 88 M6.
Occasionally, after shifting (for example) the clutch pedal will only
return 3/4 of the way (according to friend). If you push down from here
(if he didn't notice), the clutch will not disengage. If he notices,
then he can manually pull the clutch back up and it works fine for the
next shift.
My immediate thought is the clutch master cylinder - no fluid is leaking
anywhere. However, the dealer is unsure - thought it might be something
in the linkage and they surely are familiar with hydraulic problems. Any
similar experiences in the 6's or E28's (basically the same right?)?
(Owner does not believe clutch has become stiffer.)
