2002 Cooling System

I sent this last week before the holiday and got no response so I'm trying
again. Can anyone offer help with a 2002 cooling upgrade?

The cooling system on my '76 2002A is in need of repair. I plan to:

1. replace the t-stat with a 71 deg unit
2. do a three-row recore on the radiator
3. replace leaking w/p with? stock, tii, turbo, other? any suggestions?

I would like to make any necessary cooling system improvements which will
prevent my black car from overheating with the a/c on while idling in the
Florida sun. 

Any other recommendations?
