broken AC console switch gas connection

Dear friends,
I 'm glad to hear that the Valentine beats the Canadian detector
detectors. Anyway, at another order of magnitude, while removing a radio
from the console of a '73 coupe I broke the metal tubing which runs out
of the back of the Air Conditioning level switch at the precise point
where the tube is soldered to the rear of the switch. This is apparently
a pressurized gas connection. Has
anyone an ideal of how to resolder this connection or replace this
switch? Does this mean that I've lost all my AC gas as well? Thanks for
the advice.
