The leather seats in my '82 528e were completely worn and torn. After about a
year of searching the Roundel for used E28 blue interior, I finally found a blue
leatherette interior from an '88 535. The 535 had crashed and the owner had put
the interior in storage, it is in perfect condition.
The problem is that my original seats are manual and the replacement seats are
power. For now, I have mounted the replacement seats on the original seat
brackets so that I can move the seat forward and back. I cannot recline the
seats or adjust the hearest etc.
In order to hook up the power seats I need an wiring harness. There are modular
plugs on each seat that connect into a harness. Does anyone out there have a E28
parts car with a power seat wiring harness that I can buy.
I don't think that power seats were an option in '82. Does anyone have
suggestions as to where the power seat harness can be connected.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
