Oil Service & Inspection I/II costs in DC area

A couple of weeks ago, I did an informal telephone survey among the BMW
dealers here in the metro Washington, D.C. area of what the "first" engine
oil service (where they'll also replace the oil in the rear axle) and
Inspection I and II costs would be, for an E36 '95 318ti. I was a bit
surprised if not shocked at some of the disparity or variations in prices
among the dealers. These are quoted "estimates", so the actual figures
may be higher or lower, according to the dealer, as it depends on the
year, model, etc.

  Dealer	1st Oil Inspection	Inspection
		Service I II
- ----------------------------------------------------------
Heishmann BMW	$145.00 $385.00 $525.00
BMW of Fairfax	$110.00 $425.00 $550.00
VOB $175.00 $340.00 $530.00
Passport	$110.00 $270.00 $355.00
Tischer BMW	$105.00 $325.00 $495.00

Note #1: Standard disclaimers apply, and YMMV.

Note #2: With the exception of BMW of Fairfax (~$55.00), a regular oil
change is $29.95 at the above dealers for the '95 E36 318-series.

I'd be curious as to what the other dealers in your area charge for these
maintenance items. I suspect that the larger metropolitan cities will be
more expensive, ie. New York, etc.
