<02> Tii struts visual difference

Hello all I found a guy who thinks he has a set of Tii struts. My question is
how do I tell by looking at them if they are Tii. Is there some kind of
measurement that can be made.  The guy also does not have any thing to
compare them to, he is far away also. Any ideas that I may tell him to check
for would help. 
PS I am hoping to see some postings on 02 happings at Monterey historics.
