Whats that?!?! Did someone say V-O-B! ARRRGGHHHH!! Now youve done it!!
As David states, I (as well as several other digesters) have had negative
experiences at VOB. For example, they tend to claim total ignorance to
any/all Technical Service Bulletins that we discuss on this list. They even
told me (Ralph Gordon and the Service manager, cant think of his name) that
quote "...people on the internet dont know what they are talking about..."
They do employ a pretty cool move though...If you go to them with any type
of warranty work for the first time, you get the royal treatment...they even
replace or fix things you may not have even known was a problem..in my case,
they said the Roundel emblems on the wheels were fading, so they replaced
them. They also said my passenger side wiper arm was misaligned, so they
replaced it.
Now, visit two, 8 months later, and they notice I havent been to them for my
routine maintenance. I was barely able to get what I needed done, done,
much less any of those freebies they threw in. But I think lots of dealers
are like that...if you go to them for the $50 oil changes and $400
Inspection 1's, then they look out for you on lots of stuff, including some
post-warranty repairs. Thats ok, Ill pass.
